Discovery Fire was a great experience at Settlers Creek. Food was great with so many choices, had live music, games for kids, and an amazing setting.

Nickel and Dime + Bait and Switch. Just took a family of 6 to a Saturday “Discovery Fire Festival” because Instagram made it look fun. THE GOOD: beautiful property, unique cooking technique, and delicious food. If all you want is to stuff yourself with BBQ in a pretty place and maybe play some corn hole, you’ll love it. THE BAD: Their website sets expectations that they don’t live up to in person. They advertise all-you-can-eat and list several dessert items on the menu, but apparently that only applies to BBQ. They want you to pay $6 per scoop of ice cream. Disneyland can get away with that. This place is not Disney. I guess they think you don’t eat cookies either because none of the desserts are included in the all-you-can-eat offering. For activities. They advertise badminton, volleyball, and a 5 for $5 tomato launcher. In reality, they have neither sport nets set up and they charge you twice as much for the slingshot. Can’t imagine inflation has hit tomatoes that hard. Finally, even on a hot and Sunny Saturday afternoon, they block off the shady ramada overlooking the yard games. Don’t expect to find UV relief while the kids play ladder ball. That costs extra. Between ru

As a local North Idaho Realtor, I have the opportunity to visit many venues throughout the area, and Settlers Creek is truly one of the best! The property is absolutely beautiful, with expansive grassy areas, a fantastic amphitheater setting, and a huge event tent complete with plenty of tables and seating. Whether you’re attending a concert, community event, wedding, or gathering, the atmosphere is welcoming, relaxing, and family-friendly. The food is outstanding—especially the smoked and barbecued meats, which are some of the best I’ve had in the area. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and served with care. The live music adds to the experience, creating the perfect setting to enjoy great food and spend time with friends and family. What really sets Settlers Creek apart is the exceptional service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure guests have a great experience. As someone who proudly recommends great local businesses and attractions to clients moving to North Idaho, Settlers Creek is always a place I’m happy to mention. If you’re looking for an amazing venue in Post Falls with incredible food, live entertainment, beautiful grounds, and ou

Came on opening night 6-4-2026. My review - The website is great. Tells a great origin story. The photos of the event are top notch. Really creates some excitement in experiencing this event. My expectation were on par with what the website promised. Unfortunately the reality just did not live up to the hype. The event at $49 plus the tax and the internet charge to purchase tickets makes the even cost almost $59 per person. Pretty steep. Did I get that value from attending the event? Not at all. At best, perhaps I received a $29 value. I do give them an A for effort however the food was mediocre at best. They had different food stations with a lot of pork and chicken. Where was all the brisket they were promising. Well that was only for the tacos and perhaps you might find a piece mixed in with the Texas chili. The sides were primarily for the tacos. There was some coleslaw and potato salad under the big tent. They did have some beans and rice however one would never know the way it was presented. Watermelon for desert which ran out within the first 30 minutes and we never saw it refilled. The music was some guy knocking out some pretty bland tunes with a guitar. The fello

Came out for "Discovery Fire" and going back in a few weeks!! The grounds are GORGEOUS!!! If you like Mother Nature, you're going to love it here. Beautiful flowers, grassy amphitheatre, pine trees, and lots of open spaces. The food was over the top delicious, and plenty of seating under the tent or anywhere else. Staff was very friendly and genuinely happy to be there. Live music was great 👍 and the kids as well as adults enjoyed playing Cornhole and roping the wooden steers.
